If He Can’t Save Our Education System….

How do we resurrect our floundering education system?

We could start by re-instilling a sense of reverence in the process of education. If our young think education is only a nuisance, associate it only with parental nagging and use it mainly as a tool for rebellion, money and policies won’t save our younger generations from pricing themselves out of a global market. Do you need to nag a child to dream of being rich? Doubtful, because our society values money as a desired trait. Kids already dream of being rich; we need to get them to dream of being educated.

We could start here, straight from one of the greatest minds of all time, Albert Einstein:

“Bear in mind that the wonderful things you learn in your schools are the work of many generations, produced by enthusiastic effort and infinite labour in every country of the world. All this is put into your hands as your inheritance in order that you may receive it, honour it, add to it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children. Thus do we mortals achieve immortality in the permanent things which we create in common.”

In the words of Marty McFly…That’s heavy, doc.

But it just may be a start.
